Journaling: When my parents came to the United States from Hungary/Austria they did not know a word of English. They learned how to speak the language primarily by watching television. Needless to say my mother quickly got hooked on soap operas. So it is no surprise that I was named after her favorite soap opera character on General Hospital, Diane. I dont know anything about the character. She was off the program before I ever heard this story. Knowing my mom she must have been the nicest character on the show at the time.
