Nikki was about 8 months old when her Mom decided to take her braces off and put her outside to play in the mud. Nikki had a ball. She had to wear braces on her legs, 23 hours out of 24. Nikki will be 18 in September and just recently had another operation on her knees.

Pure unadulterated childhood jay & bless her mom for helping her experience off of it. I don't don't know why such sweetness needs to be given such challenges. I hope that Nikki has kept that smile through it all. Beautiful layout !

Her beautiful little face is beaming with joy! It is amazing that something so messy can bring such pleasure to a little one with so many physical challenges. Her mom helped her have this wonderful experience and you have scrapped it so well.

Oh my the joy on her face! I cannot relate lol, I hate being messy, according to my parents I always have. Sorry to hear about Nikki's health challenges, but hopefully she will continue to find the joy in the little things and you can create gorgeous layouts like this one. Nikki looks so very happy to be playing in the mud - her face and delightful smile say it all. Your photo and Nikki are adorable and I like how you placed them big on the page. I also really like the colors you used and how you journaled on the tag.
