my son is musical, he hears a melody and is able to play it, but he can hardly read a note. his homework for the piano lesson is to find out the notes of the circle of fiths in as- and e-dur and to write it down. he found it out correctly (on the ivories), but not on the staves.
It takes me (and his teacher) a lot of patience to teach him the notes, but because one of my goals of this year is being more serene I didnt say one word. But as his sketch documents, Im communicating my feelings nevertheless. in a-moll .
