It was pouring rain on the first day of the festival, but your Dad had been looking forward to it since before me moved to Connecticut, so rain or shine we were going. And while the rain was very wet and a little annoying, there were some great benefits. Like not very many people came, so you got as many turns at the games, and all the free stuff you wanted. Plus, no one was using the free shuttle bus except us, so the driver was our own personal driver for the day and would wait outside every event. Nothing like being chauffeured around by a school bus!
