This was a photo intensive spread, so I tried to create balance and unity by varying the scale of the photos and also by leaving a couple of masks blank to fill with Artsy Kardz just for some breathing room. I created the cluster over the Kardz, then did my journaling and brushwork. My challenge was that red trail blaze in the photo at lower right...I used a reddish FotoGlo on the left as well as red brushes on different blending modes to carry that across the spread.

Sometimes the story is more important than the art, so I like the trail blaze, not at all disruptive to the lovely photos of nature. Love the way you did that 4-photo cluster with Kardz!

One of my all-time favs of yours. Everything blends and flows so. Too bad you couldn't visit the house and studio. Russell Wright is a one of my design heroes. I have some of his dishes.
