Love in action

Totally love that Dostoevski quote.

As Shar was wondering about the photo: This is a phenomenon that has spread all over Europe. In order to show their love instead of just carving a heart in a tree with initials, people now hang (often colored) padlocks on bridges and scratch their initials in them. Some bridges are completely full of them and city councils often complain as they have to forcefully remove those padlocks from public property.

Intriguing. I would love more background info on the photo!

Thanks for the explanation. I had no idea, and no! As far as I know, this is not an American tradition. Don't you wonder how stuff like this gets started?!
