Prospector Campground is in the heart of Summit County in the White River National Forest at an elevation of 9,000 feet. The sites offer open views to Dillon Reservoir and several mountain ranges.
Journaling:
Six weeks between trips was too long, so we had snagged a campsite above Dillon Reservoir that was only available for Sunday and Monday nights. It was a short trip but satisfied our cravings. We loved the view and the changing weather on the lake. We had Stage 2 fire restrictions.
