I duplicated the photograph 4 times and played about with different blending modes - pin light and hard light on top of a normal layer. In between the layers I put a transfer set to colour mode to create little pops of colour. The rest is just brushes and transfers layered in a mixture of colour and normal mode. The frame is hard light.
