Although this was inspired by Tamsin's wonderful summer page for this week's AnnaLift https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?p=409540#post409540 - I will admit that I got a bit carried away with the elements. Thank-you Tamsin for the inspiration.
Journaling reads: Rachel and new friend Amy had so much fun playing with the kelp they found in the water at the cove. It reminds me how kids really dont need much to have fun, just a fabulous imagination. What a total joy to just stop and watch them play.

The process: I think I got carried away with this layout as Anna has so many wonderful ArtPlays that are either ocean related or have the colors that are perfect for that summery seaside layout. I enjoyed going through all the kits to find the elements for this page. I began with the artsy background paper. I knew I wanted to use a lot of elements on the page, so I began looking through the kits pulling all the possible elements unto the layout. It was important for me to find some red hues because of the red in the photo, so I made certain to have touches of red throughout. I used a frame from Warping Frames No. 2, and used the selective wand tool to pick the white of the frame, but not the shadow. I then recolored the frame to the soft blue, causing the frame to almost disappear on the page, making the shadow stand out a bit more. I reinforced the frame by adding the Fine Edge Frames in both red and tan. After arranging the elements below the frame, I decided I would add elements to the spray of color on the Artsy Paper on the left edge. With the layers and layers of elements, I spent extra time on custom shadows for many of the items, to show more depth. I love trying to find the right combination and order (layer wise) of elements, and it is so fun moving them around and playing with the look of the page. I added the edge overlay, and chose the pull out some of the neutral colors from the sand, and recolored the overlay to the same tan of the sand. After I was done placing the elements, I opted to add another transfer from the Serenity kit to bring another touch of red to the right of the photo. I added the Photo Glow and added the journaling to the left edge of the photo. After placing the title, I brought down the opacity of the title so that the background paper showed through. I also chose to add a light shadow, which I dont usually do with fonts, but it made it look a bit more wispy, if that makes sense.
