Journaling: Maxwells personality is such a joy to me. I find myself rushing home because I know he is at the door waiting for me. He starts talking before I even have the key in the lock, telling me he needs my attention, hes happy to see me, or telling me, where the hell have you been all day? I know its time to play. I love the smell of him and the feel of his silky fur. His purring drains the stress of the day away from me, and I find myself relaxing. He loves to go on adventures in the basement. I couldnt possibly have a mouse left down there. And he loves to sit on my cutting board beneath the open kitchen window and look outside. Were working on that. Maxwell is love in my home.

Process Notes: Opening page 9 of the new album template, I placed solid paper 1 from Awaken for the background. Not changing anything about the template, I clipped the photos to the masks, resizing the photos as need be. I duplicated the framed photos once and put them on Screen blend mode.
To the stains on the template I clipped solid paper 3 and did the same to the artsy stain I added to the left side of the page under the splatters. I wanted the stains to be subtle. All the stain layers are blended to Multiply. Below the crease in the background paper I added a texture transfer from Awaken.
Using the Cats No. 1 brushes, I stamped the kitties in a medium grey in three different places on the page starting from the upper left and going down to the bottom right. That made this a diagonal design page.
After adding the journaling, I made a drop cap of Maxwells first letter of his name, except it goes up instead of down. Im sure theres a name for that, but I dont know what that is exactly. I used the same font on it as I did the title. Using a brush from Awaken bordering the left side of the journaling, I added Canvas Transfer underneath and resizing it to frame the journaling. I didnt worry about proportions on it. I stretched it from top to bottom and squished the side in. I left it on Normal blend mode.
Adding a warm glow below the title in the layers panel and blending to Linear Burn, I used the Blend Ifs on the title to allow the glow to show through.
Finally I added the heart from Awaken above the stitching and embossed Maxwells name on the left framed photo and slipped in a scribble around the title. That finished this page.
