Here's my entry for Joanne Brisebois' Spotlight Challenge 1 Part 2 "Old School".
And this challenge couldn't have come at a more perfect time for me as I've been thinking about this story for a couple of weeks now, mulling over how I'd mark the occasion, and Joanne just stepped in and helped me out!
The "photo" references probably won't make any sense to anyone except my British friends here, so perhaps I should explain - "P45" refers to one's tax code & employment status when you leave a job and "child benefit" is a social security payment given to all kids. Very dull, I know.
