The new Shabby Christmas made me think of this sweet little tree from my first Christmas. Journaling reads:

"1st Christmas... I remember nothing about it, but judging by the look on my mothers beautiful face, I think it was a very special time. Mom and Dad had just been relocated to Mildenhall, England when Mom was pregnant with me. Homesick, and dealing with a new baby all by themselves so far from home and help was a bit scary. Though the shabbiest of any tree we ever had, I have to say this is my favorite one."
