Irish Heritage

For St. Patricks Day, a nod to one branch of my Irish heritage using Annas NEW ArtsyKardz Ordinare MultiPackComing Wednesday.

Photo of a 3-foot bronze statue I purchased years ago in Santa Fe entitled...On the Edge of the Prairie...her hair and skirt are windswept.

Journaling: My Great Grandmother* described her parents as hardy pioneers
who crossed the plains to find a home in the New West.
William H. Fullam and Anna Tunsted, originally from Ireland,
married in Hartford, Connecticut on Dec. 13, 1854.
Their first three children, Richard, Mary, and William, were born
in Wisconsin. Missouri was the birthplace of fourth child, John.
Sarah*, Louisa, and Anna were born in Kansas
where the family settled.

Process: Started with 3x4 ArtsyKardz Ordinare 1 (psd file); clipped copies of photo to both transfer layers and to paint gray; flattened layers. Positioned FramedMask 3_6 (psd file) on Ordinare ArtsyPaper 1 and clipped above composite to central mask layer (hiding frame mask and frame matte). Added and recolored ArtsyStains 10_7 and 13 and Ordinare Brush 2 for texture under the foliage cluster. Finished with elements, WordArt, and journaling.
Your art work always brightens my day! This is very very lovely, and I love reading about your ancestors.

A wonderful heritage page! Love the bronze statue, something I would have bought if I saw it! The Irish were tough, as all of those that emigrated to America!

We have several foundries here and bronze sculptures abound. One of my favorites is the woman with a windswept skirt and a flower garden at her feet. This is what I imagine. LOVE your background!

Love this great page with the very beautiful image/statue, all is so perfect and very creative, super!
