I loved seeing these flowers growing along NC HWY 12 in the Outer Banks while we were traveling to see the lighthouses. I can't hardly believe that they were growing in nothing but sand!
These are gorgeous flowers also known as Gaillardia pulchella (firewheel, Indian blanket, Indian blanketflower, or sundance), is a North American species of short-lived perennial or annual flowering plants in the sunflower family I love the the way you framed them and added the photo treatment to them tfs.x
