I thought my Mum was the most beautiful mother in the world and my Dad the most handsome Dad in the world... and looking back at this photograph of my Dad from the late fifties, I still think he was the most handsome dad in the world :)

I started by clipping the B/W photograph to a mask which was made up of several watercolour fotoblendz. I extracted the figures from the background using the pen tool, duplicated a couple of times with the top layer at soft light. With the background I adjusted the threshold then overlay mode. The rest was layering different transfers and glows both between the photographs and on top to create colour; modes used - colour burn, colour, hard light.
