Anyway this is the female Superb Fairy Wren. The male of the species has some very bright blue plumage but moults after breeding for the first few years of its life and becomes a matching plain Jack till the next season. Well not quite matching but near enough. And plain Jane & Jack because their basic brown plumage makes her less conspicuous to predators.
