The Christmas tree is one of those age old family traditions. Every single family does it a little bit different. Some
people have real trees, some have artificial trees, some trees have themes, some are just a random compliation of
ornaments. No matter what the tradition though, the putting up of the family Christmas Tree in our home
always signifies the beginning of the Holiday season. A season filled with hopes, dreams, wishes and excitement.
LEFT:
It is also a season filled with time shared with
family and friends. A time for giving and
receiving, a time to remember and to make
new memories. Memories that will last us
all a liftetime to cherish when times are
tough and the days seem like an endless
blur of nothingness. It is a season of
food and drinks - treats and goodies.
It is time for the birth of the Baby
Jesus and to remember what the
season is really about. It is a time to
sing old familiar songs and sip hot
chocolate on cold winter nights.
RIGHT:
Our traditions are new and growing each year
as the girls get older things change a little but
at the same time - remain unchanged. The
girls are very particular in how things are done
to keep the traditions intact. Daddy puts the
tree up and the lights on. The girls are in
charge of decorating the tree and Mommy takes
all of the pictures. Daddy also decided this year
that it is his fatherly right to play
Cheesy Christmas Music. I am not too
sure how long that tradition will be honoured
before he has a mutiny on his hands but he
definitely had fun with it this year.
