It is late spring on the East Coase and my gardens are starting to fill in with the summer blooms. In another few weeks, there will be lots of color everywhere, and hopefully, some butterflies and bees too.
I used Florju's Layer Styles on many of the clipping masks. I unlinked them from the layer and resized the patterns to show off the textures and styles. I also added layer styles to the paint and spatter layers of the templates for a more textured look. On the left page, the background paper was made from blending a solid beige paper over a floral one using Soft Light.
On the Right page, the journaling reads:
June 2021: The Lilies of the Valley, Vinca Vine, and Irises are done with their blooms. Next up are the daylilies and tiger lilies. And if the birds would stay away from the blueberries, we would have them as well. Impatiens, hostas, and ferns will stay bright green all summer long.
Your garden is stunning. You must have a shady yard to grow these wonderful ferns, hosta and astilbe. They are the plants that grow in my garden, too. Love the stitching and your WA
Beautiful plants! You have a much greener thumb than I do, for sure! If I plant it, it better be hardy or it won't survive! Love the touch of lace behind the photo! Great page!
