This is tribute to my beloved Uncle, he was my father figure after mine died many years ago. I miss my Sunday talks with him. I miss the love I heard in his voice when I calledhe always answered: Hello Sweetheart. This simple greeting made all my trivial trials and tribulations melt away.

Photo taken by my cousin a few months before he died last year. He had the most piercing eyes that seem to see into your inner most thoughts.

Process notes:
I used SolidPaper No. 1 as my base. I had previously transformed my Uncles photo using a variety of PS filters, I did three versions. I added all three on the page, playing around with placement. I masked out parts of the photo giving this more of an artsy look. Then I started adding transfers behind and over the portraits, varying the opacity and blend modes. And then I added some more, masking out bits that I didnt like. I brushed in a darker color in some areas to maintain continuity and create a visual triangle. Added wordART from the Halcyon bundle as the final accent.
