It's become a family tradition to take my son and his wife to a Mets game to celebrate my son's birthday, and this year our seats were fabulous. Our only complaint was that on our snack break my son brought back the regular-sized nachos instead of the helmet-sized. (At 3,400 calories per helmet-ful, he just couldn't bring himself to buy it but the three of us wished he had.) The kids also made it onto the stadium's Kiss Camera, which was a lot of fun.

I mixed-and-matched my pages in this album to construct this spread, picking the layouts that seemed most workable with my photos. Because I'm self-printing this at 8x8, I tugged the sizes of things larger and closer to the page edgesif I had been printing professionally, this would have caused an overlap into the safety zone, not a good idea. Because of my print format, I also upsized the type from the 10 pt. font that comes with the template to 13 points (I use Arial Narrow for journaling), and reduced the leading to 16 points. I finished the spread with a background made from one of my fireworks shots (it was Fireworks Night at the stadium), the journaling, the taped textures, buttons, and by desaturating the Threadz (enhance->adjust color->adjust hue/saturation->lightness slider all the way to the right). It was an exciting night and the Mets did win.
