Journaling: I am thankful for seat belts, airbags and guardian angels. In May a drunken 25 year old parolee was trying to elude police. He struck four vehicles prior to ramming into my sisters car at approximately 74 mph. The impact forced her into the steering wheel and her knee into the dash. The seatbelt did exactly what it was supposed to do and restrained her. The airbag went off and saved her from slamming into the windshield. She ended up with various bruises, a cut on her forehead, a bloody nose and a swollen shoulder. The accident investigators told her that with an impact such as this they would typically expect to see the driver with worse injuries if not death...our family is giving thanks that her guardian angel was watching over her that day.
