Genoa, Italy - The Cathedral of San Lorenzo

Founded in probably the 5th or 6th century AD, this cathedral was consecrated by Pope Gelasius II in 1118. It is an awesome spectacle, with its two towering lions guarding the entrance to the church. Excavations inside the Cathedral have unearthed walls and pavements dating back to Roman times.

Love the colortones in this page. Because of the b-w-greys you just pop up. And the glasswork on the right side gets extra attention. Great pages of a beautiful cathedral.

love that touch of color of the stained glass...the photos are wonderful..wish I could see it in real life..must have been one amazing experience!!
