On our recent trip to the Galapagos we realized that the zodiac drivers and the naturalists all used clothing as additional sunscreen so they didn't have to use so much chemical sunscreen. They wore long sleeves, hats/hoodies, gloves, sunglasses, and face masks to protect their skin from the harmful UV rays. Being so close to the equator the Galapagos Islands get about 12 hours of daylight and darkness year round!
