Fog

My inspiration for this layout was a week of foggy weather that we had a week or so ago. We do get some foggy mornings because the Colorado river runs through the city, but Austin was foggy all day for an entire week. It was highly unusual in my part of sunny Texas.

Process notes:
I used SolidPaper No. 3 as my base and used a color overly to tint it grey. I placed my photo and mask from FotoBlendz Overlay No. 13 and clipped them together. Masked out the edges for a smoother transition. Brushed in several trees to fill in the design. Also brushed in clouds and added an inner shadow to give them dimension. Quote was the final touch.

Thanks for looking.
Not easy to capture the feel of fog, but you've done it with the skillful use of brushes, a bit of color, and your descriptive words! Love this, Christy!

I agree with what Marnie wrote! (Where I live, I sometimes experience this.) Love page!

You have definitely captured the foggy mornings that we have been experiencing lately--love the text going up the side.

Love the foggy photo. It took me a minute to notice the tiny figures. They make the scene so majestic. The text running down the right side is the perfect touch. Super!

Une page magnifique Christy, j'aime le rendu du brouillard, nous avons trs souvent cela en ce moment, j'aimerais savoir utiliser les brosses aussi bien que vous.

The people are so tiny. A nice touch to make the fog more important.

Gorgeous page, Christy! Love the placement of the text and how the image fills the page! Fog in Texas? It doesn't happen very often.

Fog is something I enjoy seeing, but don't often get a photo of it. I love the monotone along with the foggy atmosphere you've created...the perspective of the couple walking amongst the vast outdoors is beautiful! Lovely use of brushes.
