Father

I have around five pictures of me with my Dad and this is one, a tiny 2 1/2 by 2 inch black and white grainy bleached out image circa 1956, rubbish quality but precious nonetheless!

Oh my goodness, this has been a page that has ended up bearing no resemblance to how it started, y'know when you just KNOW that something isn't working and then just go for it and play about! I originally wanted to include one of Anna's new MM keys but it just wasn't working for me... so move, rotate layers then delete, delete, delete :)

Difficult to remember my process as I've deleted and changed so much as I've gone along...I played about with the original image using curves to lighten but try and retain some definition, I then clipped to a fotoblendz and duplicated. Both layers are color burn, bottom layer 100% and top layer 48%. Behind are a selection of artsy transfers from AT brumal, AT Notabilia and AT Roots. I tried various papers for the background but finally settled on a paper from AP Family. Lastly is a word transfer...seems so easy now I write it but caused so much grief in the creation lol! - sigh!

A treasured photo and memory! Beautiful artwork and love the touch of color!

Wow. Makes me want to tackle one of the few photos I have of my dad with me (he died when I was 3.5 months old).

Wow! Fabulous treatment of these old photos. Love your added color.

I know exactly what you mean, I've had several layouts go like that for me recently. Frustrating process. But I have to say, the result just makes me drool, I love this so much. So, so beautifully done.

A small treasured photo made into art! The colors and layers are quite fabulous, Fiona!

Beyond fabulous. I think some of my favorite layouts of yours are where something doesn't work and you throw up your hands and let loose...it all then rights itself and bursts forth in a glorious crescendo of visual wonderment.
