Exploring Oceanside Pier

Journaling reads: The Oceanside Pier always seem to have a number of Brown Pelicans that perch themselves along the pier railing, They know that there is an easy meal to be had from people fishing from the pier, or just from those walking by. They dont seem to fear the people that walk by, but still we were surprised to see Cora reach out to touch a Pelican that was standing beside her.

Thank-you Ellen for the wonderful inspiration page for this weeks AnnaLift https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31309

The Process: I began with a textured artsy paper from AP Inflorescence. I added the photo in the upper right, and masked out the edges. I duplicated the photo, and placed the lower photo on blend mode hard light. The upper layer was kept on the normal blend mode, but with a reduced opacity of about 35%. I then added the frame, and attached the photo to the clipping mask of the frame. I then brought in the third photo, and used the inverted masking technique to slowly bring back portions of the photo. I placed it on blend mode overlay. Under this photo I added a number of the AnnaBlendz Artsy No. 5, playing around with the various blend modes until I got the desired texture showing through the photo. I added the new ArtsyTransfer Sage under the photo in the upper right, and then another under the framed photo. I dragged the psd file unto my page, which merged the layers, and then masked out portions. I then added a number of the Tissue Textures in the upper right, and bottom of the page, and added a number of transfers and splatters from various kits. I added the ScriptTease brushwork in white along the right edge and a bit at the top. I then added the stitching to the frame, and the wooden P, which I desaturated a bit. I added the word strips and added the stitching, and finished up with the title and journaling.

After looking at the page in the gallery, I ended up going back and adding a few elements to unify my theme a bit. I added the Life Saver in the lower left along with the sun charm, and then I added 3 starfish elements which came from the sea sprinkles, however, I masked out all but the starfish, and placed them in three locations, to solidify my visual triangle.

Our pages are a world apart yet could be a double spread the colors match so well... Love all the images down the side and the "white space" to the left... Cool page as usual....

Love what you have achieved with your processes. It is a beautiful page and is a great way to display so many images.

I love how the images all mingle into each other and how much texture you achieved by putting the Artsy Blendz under the photo
