"The Spell of Making runs through out the 1981 movie Excalibur directed by John Boorman. This remains one of my all time favorite movies. It was written by Thomas Malory, Rospo Pallenberg and John Boorman based on Malory's ''Le Morte d'Arthur,''. Directed by Boorman he used authentic looking backgrounds and costumes that adds so much to the story line. The actors include Nicol Williamson as Merlin who did such a marvelous job as Merlin no one else has yet to compare. Wonderful story, fabulous backdrops and costumes, a timeless story, no wonder it remains one of my favorites!"
