Journaling: Such a crazy thing to happen. We have a nice bike rack and had all of our bikes on it for our cross country trip. All of a sudden Derek sees sparks flying behind our car. We pull over and Ethans bike had taken the hit. His tire was shredded, a handle was basically sanded down halfway, and the gears were no longer. One pedal was also comepletely gone. We ended up having to leave it on the side of the road not knowing what else to do.
