Process
A solid paper from APP Rudeneja was used as the foundation for the page. The window was extracted and blended with a photo of NYC street. The image was extracted (I've used this image before, but love his green pants!) and a custom shadow was added. The photo of the tree was clipped to the frame mask of the acrylic frame. A MM Branches element was layered behind the window (some of the layers were turned off). Artsy Transfers Rudeneja_2 was placed at the right edge of the page, then duplicated and flipped horizontally and place diagonally across on the left side of the page. Some of the layers were turned off or recolored. The page was completed by adding word art, splatters, an arstroke (rotated 90º) and the straw circle.
I love the contrast of the city through the window and the colorful tree right next to that. The boy looks yearnful for one or the other, leaving the viewer imagining what he's thinking. Is he off to college? Missing home? Excited to go to the city? The story could go so many ways. Bold and Colorful layout!
I love this background color but cannot figure how to use it. That window extraction and photo is brilliant! And the young man extraction (is this your grandson?) is also brilliant. I just posted a page with an extraction that looks a bit childish compared to yours, but a fuzzy jacket and wind-blown hair defeated me Love the gold triangle!

When I originally started working on this page, I remembered that I had a photo of the grandson wearing green pants ... so green it was! Also, his apartment bedroom doesn't have a window, so the window image is going to be framed and given to him for Thanksgiving
