Jounaling: Ella and Coulsen: You are about to start a wonderful stage in life. You are going to be married! It is such an exciting time, yet stressful as you worry about finances, places to live, career goals, religion, children, family traditions and the list goes on. Right now, the world seems invincible, but as you continue on your path, life will settle down, reality will set in. Thats when the real challenge begins. Here are a few pointers: Always and forever, put God first into your marriage. Then put each other as priorities. There is no room for selfishness in a marriage. If these are your priorities forever, you will be o.k. Always do things together, be each others best friends. Learn how each other communicates; if youre a talker and hes a man of few words, learn how to make communication work. You are not the same person and you wont do things the same, but if you learn how each other responds and reacts, it will help. Know that you cant change him and he cant change you...you can only change yourself. Always treat each other with respect and kindness. As trials come up, and they will, rely on and turn to each other always as your first choice. Make room for traditions in your life. They are important and will solidify you as a family as your family grows. Work hard for things you want in life. Dont think you have to have everything right away. There is a satisfaction that comes with earning, saving and buying as opposed to going into debt for things that can and should be waited for. Help each other with everything. There is no thats his/her job. You can do this and you will be blessed beyond measure if you put each other first. Good luck and I love you and am so happy for you both!
