When I first started this challenge, I was so stuck. I was trying to scrap a page about being drops in an ocean but it was not working out. Then Selena posted a photo of a broken souffle dish I knew what I needed to scrap. The template I chose has a messy, shattered feel to it and I felt that mimicked the destruction of my collection. The kit was able to get me all of the colored bit that match the colors of the broken pieces on the rug. The alpha also gives the page a distressed feel for the title.

Back in 1993, Gary and I were young, both working full time and had no kids. This made it easy for us to collect everything Disney. We had Lenox pieces, snow globes, A Bob Mackie Minnie Mouse, and most importantly, we were members of a Disney Collectible club and would get special pieces through that. When we moved into this house, Garys parents bought us a 5 shelved, glass cabinet to display them. They always looked gorgeous inside of it, especially when it was all lit up. Our kids loved looking at this and even had a piece or two of their own inside. One day, the kids were playing in their bedroom, and I was cooking dinner, when I heard a god-awful crash. I turned around to see each one of the shelves smash down on the one below. The doors flew open and bits of Disney debris was all over the carpet. I sat down among the broken glass, and started to cry. The kids ran out of the room and saw me there, which is where we stayed until Gary came home from work. I think were all a bit shell shocked from the loss as well as from the sight of a decapitated Mickey Mouse.
