Process
An artsy paper from APP Moorlands was used as the foundation for the page. The paper was rotated and the green colors were adjusted. MM Leaves 12_2 was layered on the page. Some of the layers were turned off or moved. The monarch caterpillar was extracted and place above the daisy. The silhouette of the milkweed plant was created by doing an extraction, adding a torn paper filter and the blending mode was changed to divide. A stroke was added to define the shape. The butterflies were added, duplicated with a hard light blending mode applied. The page was completed by adding word art, splatters and circle stains.
Fabulous milkweed extraction and photo treatment with the torn paper filter! What a lovely autumn scene you've created. This Moorlands paper has been a favorite since I first saw it, and it's really beautiful with all the special butterflies, and flowers in this. Love this!
A subject very near and dear to my heart! I see a monarch (or more, but I never know if it is the same one) every day, and when my sunflowers were growing they would stop on my balcony, so special. Love the caterpillar and great job on the milkweed. Love that background!
