I am really enjoying the black and white theme from the new ArtPlay Palette Classico.

We lost my Aunt Dot from Cancer in the 70's, and then my Uncle Gene a few years ago at the age of 84. I miss them so.

Journaling reads: I love this photograph of the two of them taken in 1942, while Gene was in the Navy. Their love for each other seems to exude from this photograph. Dorothy, my moms older sister, and Eugene (Dot & Gene) lived in Gastonia, North Carolina, close to where my mom grew up. During our summer vacations, my mom and us kids would drive down for a visit. Dot and Gene were the cutest of couples - you could tell instantly how in love they were and how devoted they were to each other and their 5 children. Aunt Dot always had great southern breakfasts ready for us each morning - I fell in love with grits from those visits. Uncle Gene, the Captain of the Gastonia Police Dept., always had a smile on his face, (I loved his crows feet), and great stories. He was the perfect southern gentleman. I have the best of memories from my visits to Gastonia, and miss them both dearly.
