Cricket

Now that Cricket is bouncing back from her health issues, we are spending more time on walks. She best enjoys sitting back and watching all the activity in the park. She gets overwhelmed when in the midst of the activity, but seems to enjoy watching it from afar, which allowed me to take some great little portraits of her.

I love this weeks AnnaLift inspiration https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=296173&cpage=2&title=let-us-enjoy-&cat=1351 by Lilly-10. Here is my take on it:

The Process: Everything is in the texture. I started with a neutral linen textured background paper from AP Autumn Haze, and added the photo. I masked the photo out, but then began carefully painting it back in with a soft brush. I placed the photo on blend mode Linear Burn. I copied this photo, and placed that photo on blend mode color burn. This layer, I chose to paint in more of the edges. I copied this photo, and placed it on blend mode multiply. I played around with the opacities of the photo layers until satisfied. I back the photos up with the watercolor looking fotoblendz from Original FotoBlendz No. 8. I changed the color of the fotoblenz and placed it on blend mode linear burn. The different blend modes to both the photo and the fotoblendz allowed the linen texture show through, but the fotoblendz ended up darkening my photograph, so I carefully masked out the center of the fotoblendz with a soft brush. I added the frame, the stitching, date label, and LoopDaLoop. Amongst the loops of the LoopDaLoop, I added the quote. I added the lace texture to the upper left, and added the red brads. I added the dogs name. I finished up by playing around with fotoglows. To make the photograph seem to glow, I added two behind the photo, and placing them on blend mode overlay, it allowed the texture to come through and softened the color of the glow. I brought down the opacity until satisfied.

Good to hear Cricket's feeling better! You used one of my favorite pieces of paper for your background! Wonderful take on the lift!
