Journaling: Every year I like to give Pete and Laura a special Christmas ornament or two to kick off their merry season. A Presidential theme has developed over time--you can see George and Martha Washington peeking out at left and Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt are somewhere in there, too. This year David and I were lucky enough to find JFK and JackieO ornaments while traveling in Virginia, so of course we grabbed them right up. What Laura is holding is NOT Presidential, but just a stuffed penguin from a few years ago that we thought theyd like. This year Pete laughingly texted me a photo of it going up on the tree with a note that they had discovered its true identity--a jailbird.

In Photoshop Elements 14
Starting with the template on a new canvas, I clipped the same photo to each of the frames. I added the MultiMedia Holiday tree element next, and did the journaling. I pulled in some Fotoglows from another of the MultiMedia elements as individual layers and then added layers from the set's candy cane element at the top. For the big cardinal on the right, I just duplicated the layer from the Multimedia Elements tree, upsized it, moved it to its location and then blended it in with color burn. I finished up with a few embellishments from the Artplay Palette.
