Journaling reads: Our Black Wednesday shopping trip yielded a red barn coat and a Black Sheep Bathrobe, among other cool things. After Thanksgiving, you sent me snaps of you walking to work in Manhattan and then at home in Brooklyn. We call our finds mom-sponsored clothing and I love our take on twice-a-year whirlwind speed-shopping. Our Thanksgiving spree is quite a wonderful tradition.

I wanted to tell the story but was stuck on an idea of how to combine these two disparate photos, so I just started and let the flow take me along for the ride. Basically this consisted of creating a background and then clipping the photos to transfers from the Artplay Palette and then adding more transfers as I worked, including clipping several to the title to give it color and texture. The blue in my daughter's scarf (a past shopping-spree treasure), was driving me a little nutty, so I gave it something to relate to by plunking some blue texture in the upper right-hand corner and putting a stain below it to match.
