I stamped a darker toned large brush over background to create a lighter edge, I created a mask with a variety of brushes and clipped a photo to it, then applied a stroke framing around the other photo. The elements were then added overtop the framed photo. I stamped a brush overtop of the masked photo and changed the blend mode (linear light) and reduced opacity, giving a bit more intensity to the middle portion of the image.
