Journaling At some point our little ornament tree became a repository for memories of our travels-- everywhere wed go, wed pick up an ornament that would remind us of where wed been. Then the kids started contributing, bringing us ornaments from THEIR travels. The fancy cowgirl boot is from Evas and Emmas recent 'sisters forever' trip to Nashville. This truly has become a family tree.
I started with Artsy Paper #2, then blended in my photo with inverted masking. A second Artsy Paper followed (#1, on multiply mode, with areas layer-masked away). To reinforce the concept of the miles traveled by our ornaments, I added the postcard transfers (transfers #3 and #4) from the Artplay Palette, then added additional transfers and some brushwork. To finish up, I added the embellishments, tweaking the color of the poinsetta a bit with a hue/saturation layer.
