Process...
I started with the background. I liked the small pattern and the color. Next, I stacked the mm document file (only the paper and its shadow) on top of the mm accordion file (again, no elements, just the papers and their shadows). Behind these is the envelope file. There are two copies. One is brown, the other has a pink stain that I added. The weeds are layered over the envelope and under the mm files. I used two copies of the weeds and chopped off some of the heads, then taped it all down. I also added the threadz. The threadz on the right is there to draw the design that way so that you don't get claustrophobic looking at everything stacked on the left. I love the Asian Script brushes so I used some of those on the background. I added the title and the journaling, then went back and using the artsy paint brushes, I stained the background and some of the elements with pink. I also added some bright pink splatter. The taped texture is over the mother to bring her skirt down the page. The image is masked over the various mm files. The little girl in the front was crippled by polio. She's sitting in a wheelchair ... that will be story for another page.
I think that covers it.
