The title of this work comes from a word in the little paper piece that is part of the Artsy Paper in the Dog Sampler--splashy. I dare say there is no better adjective to describe my new grand-dog's outfit. Who knew that my daughter and her fiance would turn out to be Those People who buy clothes for their dog? I certainly didn't...but I am enjoying every photo that I am texted. Buko (the name is from the Tagalog language, meaning Coconut), was swooped up from a kill shelter (he was on schedule to be euthanized because, at almost 3, he was considered less adoptable than younger dogs), and though he has a little body he has a huge heart, not to mention what seems to be an outsize intelligence. On the first day of his Canine Good Citizen training, he was selected to be the Demonstration Dog, a title that he now proudly holds for the rest of the class. After this, he is headed toward Therapy Training. The guy's a natural healer. To think that he could not be among us now...is simply unthinkable.
Notes in Photoshop Elements 14
I dragged the Artsy Paper onto a new canvas and added the leather bow and Artsy Paint brushes to highlight the word splashy. I then blended in Buko using a Framed Mask Fotoblendz, adding a quick extraction of the photo over the original photo for a little bit of an out-of-bounds effect. A touch of journaling and a few embellishments completed this layout about the second day of my Grand-dog's new life with his loving family.
