rose Colored Glasses

I've seen several self-portraits lately which inspired me to do one too. I've always looked at life through rose colored glasses. This approach usually serves me well, but sometimes it doesn't. When I get disillusioned, my favorite photographer reminds me that they fit me so well and that they make me the woman I am. Sometimes, I must admit he's right! Rarely, but sometimes. Hahaha.

I did the face art a few years ago for a challenge. I can't remember what I did, but I used the same eye twice and found a funky mouth somewhere. I do have glasses almost like these except mine are purple. Oh, I made myself look younger toowell, because I could.

Process notes:
I opened up the SolidPaper No. 3 from ArtPlay Palette Care and recolored it to give more of a rosy hue. I laid my face art on the layer above, added a mask and blended out the rough edges. Place a transfer from APP Care behind it to be the frame. I recolored the scroll part to match my color palette (rasterized layer, clicked transparent pixels box by the lock area, and brushed in the color.) I added two LoopDa Loops, one at top, the other at the bottom, rotated them until I was happy with their position. I brushed in several layers of varying shades of peach, pink and rose on the face art to add depth. Brushed in some edge accents using the NEW DecorART No.2 and PinART No.1 brushes. I created a composite layers (Shift+OPT+CMD +E), used PhotoShop filters of sharpened edges, neon glow and colored pencil. I ended up using a blend mode of hue. I added the text and was done.

Thanks for looking.
This is so creative but also very funny, I love this kind of pages, awesome Christy!!

I also like the little brooch you gave yourself at the neck, probably to fasten your Isadora Duncan scarf! You are such a work of art! All hail to rose-colored glasses!

This has put such a smile on my face. What stinkin' good fun! You rock the glasses and not everyone can do that. One of a kind!
