Journaling:
We were hoping the trees across the road on the way to Morgan Peak were cleared away, and they were. There was little evidence at all of the avalanche that blocked the road two years earlier. The road ended at an old mine near the top of the mountain.

I admire your use of textures and elements like the branch and deer. I also love the hint of framing on the left side and the photo invites you to just walk into it.
