I remember the moment I made a decision that changed who I would become. I was in my parent's dining room, observing with my ears and heart, the chaos that was my family. It suddenly occurred to me that things weren't like this at the Wienker's house. I decided then and there, that when I grew up, my family was going to be like the Wienkers--not like the family I was born into. And that's just how it turned out! I married a man much like Carl, and I often referred back to those teen years I spent under the influence of the family I adopted. I turned out a lot like Marion. I think we had a pretty happy home.
