(next to photo): Statue of Richard Enderlin, Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, stands at the entrance to Yoctangee Park in Chillicothe Ohio. Enderline won his medal for bravery during the Battle of Gettysburg. He crawled thru enemy lines at night to rescue another Ohio soldier who was severely wounded. That soldier was George Nixon, grandfather of President Richard Nixon. Mr. Enderlin was a prominent member of his community and associated with many philanthropic works.
