Designer Challenge: NBK Designs
"Create a layout using Christmas products, with at least one photo, using the process outlined in the thread. The photo needs to be in a frame of some sort, or left borderless. No blending. Please explain photo technique used."
For this photo of my niece, I wanted to highlight her beautiful face. The original photo had a strong red cast, so I also wanted to lighten it up. First, I used the diffused glow filter which amazingly got rid of a lot of the red. Then, I clipped NBK Misty Frost Solids Paper 4 to the top of the photo and changed the blending mode to color burn. I then lowered the opacity to 37%. I was happy with this effect, so I left it.
The rest was just layering, although I did change the blend mode of the background paint to soft light, then duplicated the layer to achieve the look I wanted. A fun project, no doubt!
