Lake Geneva Mailboat/Anna chall

The U.S. mailboat has been delivering mail for 100 years to docks around Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Six jumpers (high school and college age) are hired annually to deliver the mail from June 15 to September 15. The mail person jumps off the moving boat onto a dock, places the mail in the mailbox, retrieves the outgoing mail and jumps back onto the boat. If the jumper misses the boat they work the rest of the day wet.

thanks for sharing this story! good exercise for those boys that jump! love the framing and of course the photo and the effect! FANTASTIC page!

I really like your backwards "countdown" on the left margin--reinforces the theme that you'd better not miss the boat! Very cool page.

What a story! Who knew??? Awesome page. Love the photo treatment, the story, the pencil line frame, and those numbers.

Great photo treatment! It sounds like a fun job for someone young! Like the addition of the numbers.
