Journaling: From 2002 to 2015, many things have changed. Yet many things are still the same. Nicholas has always been a very even tempered, very kind and fun loving kid. Which is still true today. However, he is no longer a kid. He has grown into a very wonderful young man.* He would give his shirt off his back without even batting an eye. He is always willing to help and does not expect anything in return.
We have always enjoyed having him come over to visit. He often* enjoyed fishing. But his first love has always been motorcycles and guns. He has had a fascination with both since he was just a tiny little boy. That has not changed either. His toys are much bigger now, and I worry more as they can be dangerous. Unfortunately, one can never be sure what another driver is going to do. He has had some very sad situations happen to friends that too love to ride motorcycles. We want him to enjoy things that he so loves, but also wish we could protect him from any kind of harm. He has a good head on his shoulders, he uses very good judgment and is smart in making decisions. We will hope that others will also use good judgment, so he will be safe. We dont always get to choose.
