On our tour we took a boat ride in the Tonle Sap, the largest lake in Southeast Asia, located near Siem Reap, Cambodia. It was actually a rather weird experience, especially the "soda pirates" as someone in our group named them. People in small boats would come up and latch on to ours hoping to sell their wares: sodas, beer, fruit. I guess they can get agressive too, as we were warned ahead of time to keep a tight grip on our cameras and stuff. This is literally a villiage in the lake: homes, schools, livestock and all!
