The whole concept changed with this layout. I started out looking for a kit for one of the June Challenges but when I found Joannes In Summery kit, I knew I had to use it. One of the first things I did for the layout was give the photo a more sepia feel. But at the end, I decided to see how it looked using the color photo and I liked it better. Also, I skipped using a solid with this layout. When I saw the two patterns together, I just had to use them together. I did add a small border to the photo to make sure it stood out against the patterned papers and ephemera.
