Vulcania is an educational amusement park and museum with a volcano theme. Situated near Clermont-Ferrand in the center of France, owned by the Regional Council of Auvergne. A region rich with old volcanos who are not "working" anymore. Designed by the austrian architect Hans Hollein, and opened in 2002.
Three-quarters of the foundations are sunk underground, and the visitors approach a 'metaphorical Volcano' by descending down a ramp towards a cone shaped structure clad in dark stone and lined on the inside with a gold metal.
The photo I made was a view from the inside of the cone towards the sky. This is a quite impressive beginning of a very interesting visit.
I used Anna's Watercolor TemplateAlbum 2, using my photo as the background and just reorganising the templates a little bit. I added some stains and splatters.
Thanks for looking!
